ARE TODAYS FEMALE MODELS TOO SKINNY?
I noticed a news piece this week about a V/S model that looked like she was suffering from anorexia, and, it got me to thinking about many of the models we see in magazines and on TV looking basically the same. It may be appealing to some men, but, I think many of these women look like a bag of bones. It makes them look like they are suffering from some terrible disease. I'm not very good with women's clothing sizes, but, when I hear size 0 and even lower, even I can see the problem. Personally, I like a women to have a shapely figure, but, with healthy definition. Sadly, many of our young women see these models and think this emaciated look must be normal. Many young women emulate them and end up with serious, life threatening health issues. The news article stated that America, the bread basket of the world, has millions of women suffering with anorexia today and less than 50% are ever cured. I would like to see both men and women pressure the modeling and fashion world into not utilizing the models capable of wearing such tiny clothing sizes. Maybe, require a minimum size 4, or so, which still sounds quite small. Think of the young women's lives it could save, and, it would, obviously, make for a better more appealing overall picture.

Program Will Pay Homeowners to Sell at a Loss
First we are spending $75 Billion to keep people in their homes with just last week mandating that all homes go thru the HAMP process to do everything possible to prevent foreclosure. Now the idea of the moment is to pay people to get the heck out of their house....for a cost of who knows $Billions. To put a Kabash on a change requested by the Governor to the terms of tenure. The Governor wanted to extend the years before tenure is granted from 2 years to 5 years, which would allow the better determination of the quality of the teacher.
