Dem’s still dont get it! Will they ever?

Senator Evan Bayh, Democrat from Indiana, when talking about limiting the size of banks completely misses the point of why so many Americans are fed up with our government.  He says......" It's one thing if the banks want to trade with their capital and put their own money at risk.  I 've got no problem with that.  That's the American way ."  " But if directly or indirectly the American taxpayer is backstopping those activities if they go wrong, well, that's a different issue ."  " It seems to me the taxpayers then have a right to be involved in setting some of the rules ."   My follow up question to such ridiculous statements would be..........."Mr. Bayh, why are American taxpayers backstopping banks at all?  Why are we subsidizing banks?  Isn't that what shareholders are for?  If banks need tax money to survive, are they even worth the investment?"   Unfortunately instead of stopping the use of taxpayer money altogether, Dems best answer is to offer up more legistlation/regulation.  Fix a problem with  what is sure to become another problem utlimately costing more tax dollars.  The beat go's on and on!  Will they ever learn?  Vote them all out!   http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a.pJ5uNs8bNc
