How news SHOULD be reported
I just finished reading the Comcast news presentation of the AP story bylined by Emily Pettus and Melinda De Slatte reporting the contrast between the Louisiana and Mississippi governors' responses to the BP oil spill. This is an excellent piece of political reporting! The comparison and contrast is evenhanded, comments on both sides are clearly stated, and possible special interests covered competently

Longest Story
I am purposing that we attempt to compose the longest continual story by the most authors. I'll kick it off by writing a line and the next person will come along and add a sentence or two, and so on, and so on n so on.... don't sweat being too formal -content or structure wise.. just stay within the forum guidelines

NEW NJ GOVERNOR’S APPROVAL DOWN TO 33% IN JUST FOUR MONTHS
While some in the Republican Party have been touting the new governor of NJ as the new face of the party and a possible candidate for President in 2012, Gov. Chris Christie's approval level after only four months in office has plummeted to 33%. That may be some kind of record for a speedy decline, even in bad economic times like this when everyone wants the government to improve their financial situation.

GOOD reporting, unpleasant story
Currently on the Comcast news section is a story regarding the arrest and subsequent suicide of Venezuelan boxer "Inca" Valero accused of killing his wife. The story itself is sordid, but the reporting is a wonderful example of how REAL journalism works. Kudos to the the reporter, her contributor, and to Associated Press! (Sorry, as I have said before, for reasons unclear to me -- either my software or my soft brain makes it impossible for me to post the actual URL address -- but the story is on the main News site.) We have had a lot of screaming on this forum about news media, fairness, facts, etc., ad nauseam.

Comcast "In The News" Forum
For some reason, every time anybody post to this forum (In The News) about something critical in the news; the Comcast Community Moderation Team shut it down. Since this is the history and the norm of the Comcast Moderators to block free speech and critical thinking, I have a suggestion for these light weight thinking people.

Is Comcast blocking my emails from Fox News?
Seriously, I signed up for the foxnews.com forum and to get news updates and never got the email. I do get my cnn.com emails no problem. I then checked online to see if getting caught in a spam folder, but not.

Cut & trim in Nov.
Time to cut Government cost. The Engerery Department set up to stop us from buying foreign oil is an example of one agency that can be done away with.
