I’m going around in circles but determined to get this fixed and done. I had huge huge health issues which financially messed up my credit. I was going to do bankruptcy and went to a lawyer and he said we should settle and pay him to do it. My family members helped and we decided this sounded best. All was settled and I think the attorney wrangled quite well for us, but now, 3 years later and I’m healthy enough to check things out, my credit report is a mess. Why didn’t the attorney tell me to make sure things were updated and help me understand it all. Seems like if I went bankrupt it would all have been cleared in 7 years ?? Any suggestions for quick and efficient long credit report repair ? I need advice. And of course no money after being so ill for so long.
dragonfir.. I can clean it up because a lot of the accounts that my attorney settled are still listed as current and late. Not so and I have the attorney letters, but thanks for the secured card info, I’m going to do it.
