Teachers Union in CA, spends 50 MIL.

To put a Kabash on a change requested by the Governor to the terms of tenure.  The Governor wanted to extend the years before tenure is granted from 2 years to 5 years, which would allow the better determination of the quality of the teacher.

Thousands protest California education cuts

This will become  a common occurrence and will only intensify as shortfalls in budgets everywhere will require the necessary severe cuts to all types of entitlements and public employee positions. There will be protests organized by Labor Unions including the SEIU and Andrew Stern...IBM's #1 visitor.   Hopefully the protests won't be as violent the ones that Nancy Pelosi recalled,causing tears to flow from her eyes....

the post office

so now they do not want to deliver the mail on saturdays, fine with me! i live on the east coast and with all this snow i did not get mail for a whole week, and they the post office is wondering why they are not getting as much postage for letters and packages etc, well go figure, they compete with ups, and fed ex, and some others, i use to work for the post office as a carrier, and your told it you can not get down the street due to it not being plowed, then ya bypass that street, yea it is a matter of safety- but not really for the carrier, it is for the white truck they drive, i could not tell you how many times i fell down delivering the mail in snow, on rainy grass and fell on my butt, what ever happened to the mail gets delivered rain, snow sleet etc..

CALIFORNIA THE NOT SO GOLDEN STATE !.

As California goes so goes the other States in the Union; so the News people say. With "Old Brown' and "Old Meg" jocking to become the next Governor ; both are saying that to create jobs , improve education and do what you say is the cure to make the State Golden again. Once again both hopefuls speak from stupidity.    The fact is that in order to make California Golden again the right hard decisions must be made by the people and the next Governor.

How About A New Category Without a Link

Why can't we express ourselves without a link?  We all have a stake in Education, Jobs, Health Insurance, Taxes, Housing, etc.  Why do we have to be reactive and not proactive?  We need Tea Parties and more.  We need our own Czars!  Comcast should provide us with that forum.  We should be civil no matter how angry we are.  If people get out of hand they should be locked, and not the post.  Remember, we are currrent events and we too make current events.  Let the People speak and watch things happen.

Gov Pawlenty Balances Minn Budget

According to the Mpls StarTribune Gov Pawlenty has balanced the Minnesota budget.   Cut 347 mil..cuts in programs that help sick,mentally ill,jobless and displaced people..end health coverage for 40,000 Minnesotans     Cut 47 mil from higher education..teachers will be cut   Cut 250 mil police,plows,libraries   Cut 181 mil state layoffs   Cut 387 mil cut in Medicaid   Business would see tax cuts   Pawlenty voted against the Stimulus but said he needs the stimulus to balance the budget.  HUH!   Pawlenty also to borrow millions from the teachers fund to help balance the budget
