Condo Owners Association Discrimination Against Renters
My wife and I live in a condo community with a Homeowners Association. Most of the residents own, and there are a handful of us that rent. We all (owners and renters) pay the same condo fees every month to the association

Losing It!
Okay guys...here we go! Today is May 1st...the first day of the slimmest part of your life! :smileyvery-happy: Okay, so I'm a little enthusiastic. Anyway, this is another weight loss "contest". Again, we will go for 3 months...to July 31, 2010. Whoever loses the most weight is the winner! The rest of us will give them all the congratulations we can muster. Sound good? Good! So everyone, let me know who is going to be part of this and I will list your name like I did before. We will need cheerleaders, too, so those of you who don't need to lose weight can sign up for that! I'm hoping to see the same people as last time for all of this and even some new ones! I know you are out there. Let's do this!!! You can post your weight if you want to. Or not. This is all on the honor system. You tell us how much weight you are losing and whoever loses the most at the end of the three months is the winner. For starters, I will list myself. My weight this morning was 223. I don't know what is going on with my scale. It's saying I'm up 1.5 pounds since last Wednesday. :smileysad: I thought I was being good. Maybe it was the pizza we had last night...I didn't mean to eat it. Before I knew, it was in my stomach...but no more! There was some left over and I thought about having it for breakfast, but I didn't! I will be so good!!! I'm going to start my food journal again and keep it going during this whole thing. My goal is to get below 200 pounds by our anniversary August 11. That date is just 11 days past the end of this contest, so I'm really going to try hard.

All sunblocked up…
I'm ready to go outside and work in the garden! I've got my sunblock on and I'm just waiting until it's ready to protect me. (You have to wait at least 20 minutes before going out in the sun for it to protect you...at least that's what it says... :smileytongue: ). But I'm ready. I'm going to plant potatoes and (more) asparagus. (Already have at least 20 plants...) Mmmm!!! Hubby comes home early today and we will be all alone :smileywink: , except for the dogs, :smileytongue: so I made some simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water...simmer together until sugar is dissolved and cool) for some Mint Juleps! Yum! I think we have enough mint growing for some yumminess!!! :smileyvery-happy: We are also going to split a steak for dinner and have some grilled shrimp along with it. We ate the asparagus that I picked out of our garden last night.

Let me tell you about my day yesterday…
Warning: This will probably be a bit long, so be prepared... So, yesterday the weather was getting really bad. The wind was blowing like 100 mph! I could hear things outside crashing! And then the power went out for a few minutes. (Turns out someone's roof from their metal shed came off and flew up and over a house and made a huge mess when it landed...). By the time I had to take one of my granddaughters (I had all three of them for a while yesterday) to her dance class it was raining. It's spring...it's supposed to rain

For some reason it always comes back to kung fu. ^_^ (just on a side note i hurt my shoulder what kinda Dr. should i see?) Also i love my dogs and also my baby niece :)

I was at a dog park in leesburg, va and a dog belonging to another person was showing aggressive tendencies, growling & mounting other dogs. When the dog mounted my dog, I scruff-ed the other dog and tossed him behind me about 4-5 ft

Love ‘em to pieces, but boy are we tired!
Our son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons (8 & 4) just left. They came yesterday evening and left around 1:00pm today. We love them all to pieces...and love watching the grandsons run around....and all that great stuff...but now I'm ready for a nap! :smileyvery-happy: LOL - they brought one of their dogs with them....a little chihuaua mix that's a sweet little fireball...and after running all over the yard with her, even our scottie is exhausted! She's sprawled out in her bed, eyes rolled back, snoring away. :smileyhappy: I wish I still had the old energy I used to!
