China and America, a cold war or a hot one warming up?
http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-politics/20100125/POLITICS-US-CHINA-USA/ . BEIJING — China's military warned the United States on Thursday to "speak and act cautiously" to avoid reigniting tensions between the two powers, denying the People's Liberation Army played a part in Internet hacking. this saber rattling reminds me of russia and america during the cold war. could this be the start of a new cold war? or something more serious? i think a good move on america's part would be to strengthen ties with russia. china hasn't had to worry about them for a few decades. back when the soviet union was a major military power they had a 'taming' effect on china. just something to consider,

Chossudovsky: US will start WW3 by attacking Iran
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4p1kD8CZX8 http://www.deepjournal.com/p/7/a/en/2562.html Michel Chossudovsky believes the US is planning for war with Iran. ( Chossudovsky is a Professor of Economics at the University of Ottawa and active member of the anti-war movement in Canada) Here is how it will play out, the West may hit 1 or 2 nuclear plants in Iran using mini Nuke bombs. However the casualties for the West and Israel are heavy during the first wave of attack. An S300 will claim a B-2 bomber as well and public footage will be seen of the heavy carnage that reminds the world of the bombs that blew up Nagasaki. The middle east will be inflamed and the Saudi Arabian government together with Turkey will be forced to declare war against Israel and the West or be overthrown by their people. OPEC will automatically declare the end of petro dollar transactions. Iran will retaliate with rain nuclear missiles (indigenous and constant supplies coming from Russia and China) on Israel until the whole nation disappears off of the map. Iranian Moskit and Sunburn missiles will destroy the aircraft carriers in the straights of Hormuz leading to closing of the area. Oil and commodity prices will sky rocket. Iranian citizens storm into Iraq and Afghanistan armed to the teeth as suicide soldiers, western soldiers occupying Iraq will find that their supply lines are closed and are annihilated immediately. Russia and China will commence the Financial Nuclear option dumping treasuries and agency bonds left right and centre. There will be panic in the markets for an exit in the US, Euro and Yen assets. Due to the heavy US casualties and sinking of US aircraft carrier, the US will make a calculated mistake in charging Russia and China for creating an endless supply of nuclear tipped short and medium range missiles for Iran. The reckless reaction of the US will lead to launching of US SLBM into Russia, Russia will immediately retaliate with 20,000 ICBMs flying down into US and Western Europe. By the end of the week those who survive will have to live in nuclear winter weather. Make no mistake Iraq and Iran are different. This is like comparing apples to Oranges. Iran has a very formidable military compared to analysis of the West back in 2004. Iranian military are well trained and very disciplined compared to Iraqi. The other complications comes down to the relationship between Iran, Russia and China, all allied members of the SCO. They have a defense pact as Iran has a common border with the two nations. Russia has pipelines to sell their gas to Europe and South Asia passing through Iran, China needs Iranian oil. Any war against Iran will devastate Russia and China economically. This will be seen in Russia and China as an attack to their nations and they will not tolerate this. The West will collapse under this major hubris. Chossudovsky is correct, a war with Iran is going to be WW3 for real. The stakes are high. Due to this, I like Jim Willie, believe all of this is posturing as the US and Israel knows that likelihood of any attack on Iran is suicide. All of this rhetoric is just talk to help escalate Exxon stock. By the end of the day there will NOT be any attack on Iran unless Obama has really lost his mind. I can tell you the odds are that the US and Europe will suffer economic collapse first before any bombs ever touched Iranian ground. Message Edited by ISRAELANDUS4EVER on 02-21-2010 09:02 PM

Obama meets Dalai Lama angers China
http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-politics/20100125/POLITICS-US-CHINA-USA/ Okay im no fan of Obama,im no fan of the Dalai Lama and im no fan of China but if it angered China than im glad. I mean when the day comes that other countries dictate who our president can meet with and who our president cant meet with is the day America has fallen. I understand why it angers China but i really dont see the Dalai Lama as a threat to China. If anything i dont see the Dalai Lama as a valid leader in this world.Yeah he could rally the people in Tibet but the red giant being China could squash that rally in a heartbeat.

Harder for China to cheat in the Winter Games
Do you think the Winter Games are fairer than the Summer Games? I guess China doesn't need to use younger kids pretending to be older in Winter sports like they do in the Summer Games or do they try that in figure skating too?
