so an AFFLUENT school district issues laptops to students and when the student reports it stolen or lost the school activates the webcam. Sounds like a good idea to me. Sure there needs to be safe guards but, there needs to be accountibility. Additionally, if the family accepts this "gift" then they should accept all that goes along with it. I bet the more needy school districts would love to have the capability to issue laptops.
