I have bad credit. I am twenty-three y/o. When I was eighteen y/o I was on a phone plan and it got put forward to a debt collection agency. I paid it off. But I have an outstanding electricity bill with synergy and it’s under $ 500 but it got put forward to credit group and I know this because I called them and they told me. But apart from that it can’t be from anything else except my phone plan which I have paid off. If I have paid it off in installments which I have can it still give me bad credit? Or can you only get bad credit if you have an amount owing? And is it true if I ring the company / companies and pay the owing amount that I can get it taken off my credit? Please someone help me. I just want good credit. Also I am in Australia if that helps.
