After being slammed by two huge snowstorms, it would be interesting to know if the federal government could give American citizens some idea of the cost, so far, for opening up the streets, avenues, thoroughfares, and sidewalks buried by snow in Washington, DC, and around the country.

At Age 80, How Would You Feel To Have Your Life Ins. Premium INCREASED?
This has to be one of the most contemptible, behind-the-back deals we have ever heard about. The Insured is a man approaching his 80th birthday. At that point, his life insurance premium will go up by $300.00 each month. The notification was mailed to him just a few days ago. This man is a neighbor and a long-time family friend. He is absolutely bereft at the thought of paying more money than he can afford. It is a sad day when upsets like this occur! After serving in combat in the Korean War, after graduating from a prestigious university, after working for the same employer for 40 years, after retiring in good health, is this not a contemptible way to treat any veteran who has been an outstanding employee? This is a ploy to leave a healthy individual and his family in dire straits. The Real Estate Taxes went up this year by a huge amount and then an increase is made in the cost of his life insurance. What a blow that is to any elderly person! Apparently, the state would prefer that all elderly pensioners pass away before their 80th birthday. Disgraceful! When will our fellow citizens realize and/or understand that President Obama is beginning his November 2012 campaign right now? It will be another two year campaign as was his Presidential campaign that began in February of 2007. This will be a repeat of the two year campaign begun while he was a U. S.
