    Not yet, but I’m tossing around the idea as well… just make sure that you find one that starts paying right away, and doesn’t “hold” your money in an account until it’s built up because that hurts your credit even more.

    I read this and bookmarked it to go over more in depth when I decide to do this or not.

  2. You can use a credit counseling service but make sure it is a reputable one. The National Foundation for Credit Counseling would be a good place to state nfcc.org If you are eligible for a debt management plan, they will negotiate with your creditors on your behalf and probably get your interest rate lower.
