Ok, this is unconventional – My mom is disabled. Her home was affected by Katrina. Her home is finally fixed. However, during the past two years, she’s accrued close to $ 100,000 in credit card bills to pay off some of the repairs since a lot the funds from the insurance and the government were not enough. Additionally, since she is disabled and receives little from the government, she has been unable to pay enough or on time. Her interest has gone up to 25-30% on 4 cards. I have good credit. I own a condo. I want to at least help her by getting a home equity loan (basically a second mortgage) even though I want to get a loan in a couple of years to buy a house. She’s considered bankruptcy with Chapter thirteen in order to not jeopardize her home, which she paid off with some of the funds received from Katrina. It seems she has no way out; and I hate to be in this situation from my own financial balance. What can be done? She needs serious help; and I don’t want to jeopardize my credit.
Hello, I am sixteen and I live in California. I desperately need a job because I have to pay for my car insurance. I guess all use and had no chance. Are there jobs at home / work online that no one knows? Everyone I need the experience and I saw a complete noob. Thank you!
Note, that Bush went to unprecedented lengths to stop a coalition of ALL 50 STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS in 2003…..because they wanted to investigate predatory lending practices.

Also, note the 2004 election….where the reality of Bush’s policy, butts up opposite the revisionist history of what the Republican talking points are now……here’s an article that details what Republicans said THEN:
On issues of housing and mortgages, there are clear differences between George W. Bush and John Kerry. Bush pushes homeownership, especially among minorities. Kerry emphasizes providing decent and affordable rental housing.
In terms of campaign contributions, Bush is overwhelmingly the favorite candidate of real estate agents, mortgage bankers and brokers, and home builders.
The centerpiece of Bush’s housing policy is an effort to increase homeownership among minorities. In June 2002 he announced a plan to increase minority homeownership by 5.5 million families by 2010. Since then, the number of minority homeowners has increased by 1.6 million, according to Alphonso Jackson, housing secretary.

My washer overflowed in the basement. Carpet/wall area etc. got water damage in which the insurance company had a company come out with dryers to dry the area. I removed the carpet and did not replace it. Ok here is what is going on now. Two months ago a man came out to give me an estimate to winterize my house he went into the basement and lifted the ceiling tiles in the room that got the water damage and said the water damage more than likely started the mold growth but the smoking is what is causing the mold to spread. I do not know what to do next. For sure I can stop smoking in the house but what about this mold will my insurance co cover the removing of the mold that is in the basement now??
The cover included accidental damage(in a one time event) not gradual damage(mildew).
My tenant advised the problem very late. The carpet is rotten, and wall has a lot of mildew. The manager has altered three times in the last year. So the new manager was in for a week or two when advising the problem.
What should I do? Plumbers are very expensive- it’s a problem with the toilet pipe which has leaked under the floor into the bedroom.
I have to replace cartpet, and walls, pipes etc. *terrible*
I was in a 3 car accident in CA. I was the middle car and I was pushed into the car in front of me, by a truck behind both of us (minor bumper damage) . At the time I didn’t have auto insurance, BUT no1 involved knows that, I just told them I didn’t have my insurance papers with me, the cops were never called, the car I was driving is not registered in my name and in-fact they didn’t even write down my correct name or address and finally the car I was driving has out of state plates. They did get my Cell phone number and my former Nevada property address which I still own and I do have home owners insurance, but not sure if that does anything. Bottom line the truck in back of me has insurance and the guy in front has insurance and I don’t. The insurance company for the guy in front called me and left a message that said his clients had secured legal representation and I should file a claim with my insurance company and attempt to avoid litigation. Any advice? or know of a good attorney
I came home from work last night and my sixteen year old male lovebird was laying on the bottom of the cage. He lost his grasping capability in his feet… they are all balled up. He is kind of crawling around on his belly.
There have been no changes in his diet, I see no difference in his stool, no visible injuries. The other bird in the cage eats the same as him and is fine.
I covered the bottom of his cage so that he wouldn’t hurt himself crawling on the bars. Been hand feeding him (he wouldn’t eat last night but ate very little today) and have been giving him water through an eye dropper.
What else can I do???
I cannot afford an avian vet. I’m a full time student and work full time and pay all my bills myself which leaves very little extra money.
He is at home on a work related back injury, and his red red red blood pressure is slowly but surely rising. We have just started him on a low sodium and low fat diet, We do not have health insurance, and are really having a tough time making ends meet, so seeing a doctor over it would have to be in an emergency. His red red red blood pressure today was 143 over 103. When is his red red red blood pressure at a point that we should get him to a hospital? Also, what other things can we do to move his pressure down?

My Husband and I recently purchased a house at an estate sale that included all contents like furniture and dinnerware and such. Our question is…we have glassware that indicates the signature of a Ned Harris engraved in gold. We are wondering if this is of any value ???
