Will they class it as an “act of god” and not pay if an unmanned vehicle crashes into my house during rapture? I cannot find a rapture exclusion in my policy. Are the insurance companies not true believers? Who is going to pay to remove the SUV with a fish emblem embedded in my porch?
My wife and I are no longer together and are seeking a divorce in Florida with 70/30 joint custody.
I am trying to get an estimate on a worst case scenario for alimony and child support.
As it stands now, I pay out the following on a monthly basis for their maintenance:
Housing: $ 880
Car Payment: $ 289
Car insurance: $ 52
Misc: $ 1005
Monthly Payments: $ 2226.00
We have been married for 6 ½ years and have one 3 year old daughter. We don’t own a home and there are really no assets to divide, we have already done so.
I earn approximately $ 5100 net per month. She does not work, but is able, just chooses not to.
I am trying to do this as amicably as possible, and I am trying to do this without either of us having to be burdened with legal fees but she is insisting that I should pay her even more than I already am. I am convinced that if we indeed seek legal counsel, the State of Florida wouldn’t make me pay nearly the amount that I already pay. I am basically trying to make her understand that as well
I am prepared to offer her $ 1100 per month child support and $ 600 in alimony. I believe that this is a more than fair amount. Could she possibly get more out of me than that if we were to go to court?
I’ve been looking to buy FL Studio and I read online that the FL fruity edition is a light version of FL Studio? I want to use it for my mini notebook since the rest of the computers at home are pretty out-dated and can’t really handle FL

The Tax Poem
At first I thought this was funny…then I realized the awful truth of it. Be sure to read all the way to the end!
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he’s fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt. < BR>
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won’t be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He’s good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he’s laid.
Put these words
Upon his tomb,
“Taxes drove me to my doom…”
When he’s gone,
Do not relax, Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had positively no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the hell happened? Can you spell “politicians?”
And I still have to “press 1″ for English!?!?!?!?
I am in the process of purchasing a home we got a really good deal on the home. I was told we will be paying PMI insurance on the home because we didn’t have 20% downpayment. However, I was told that in 2 years if the home appraised 20+% on top of our purchase price we would be means to drop the PMI insurance. My question is what if the bank does their appraisal and the current appraisial is 20% over the purchase price, would we still have to pay the PMI insurance??
After all, it’s a lot more fun to relive the “Mission Impossible” scenario of the Navy SEALS helicoptering down into Bin Laden’s compound and carrying out a high – risk hit on a known terrorist leader.
That’s much more enjoyable than pondering whether our national addiction to fossil fuel consumption may be destabilizing Midwestern rainfall patterns and putting thousands of Americans at risk of Missisippi floods, right?
Joseph – Thanks for the BG on the Mississippi flooding “naturally.”
How often does it flood this way, naturally? Every month or so? Every year? Every 2-3 years?
My husband has a 9-year old son with a woman he was never married to. She and the child live in Colorado, we live in Washington State due to my husband’s job.
She has always been extremely difficult to deal with, but we’ve done our best to cooperate for the well-being of the child. He pays child support on-time every time, and pays an additional $ 360 a month voluntarily to pay for medical insurance for his son. He loves his son very much, and wants to do what is best for him.
Yesterday we were contacted out of the blue by one of the mother’s best friends. She said she was concerned for the safety of the child. She said the mother has been abusing prescription drugs for over a year, and is currently being investigated by social services (she was investigated a year ago, as well, but that investigation was inconclusive). Apparently about a month ago both of her children were removed from the house to her parents’ house until she could pass a drug test (which took a month). Her friend also said she regularly doses her daughter (not my husband’s) with benadryl so she will sleep through the night, and leaves her and the 9 year old alone at night so she can go party. Given that she was investigated in the past, and has generally never been a great person, her friend’s story is entirely believable.
We were very surprised to find that my husband’s son could be removed from the home temporarily by social services and we would not be notified. Is this normal?
We would like to seek custody. We know we can provide a much more stable home than he’s in now. If we petition the court for full custody, given the involvement of social services, how likely would the court seriously consider giving us custody? I am worried they would rather keep him with the mother than uproot him to come here.
Re: social services knowing about my husband. They do know we exist — my husband contacted them while the last investigation was going on. He’s been on hold all morning trying to get through to them on this most recent development.
I just want and that is as smooth as possible, you can give me any indication that I do to make a great experience. I had stolen something from my house.
We are purchasing a home in Coral Springs, FL. I’m purchasing a home at 180,000.00 in coral, springs, fl 33071 zip code. And I am putting 20k down (so my loan amount will be 160k). We have been pre-approved at 4.375 % for an fha loan, however fha’s pmi increased from .55 yearly to .85% yearly so I’m thinking about looking into a conventional loan.I have not looked into a conventional loan yet but I think it may be less given the rates and the lower amount of pmi? (unless I’m way off?)).
*Given our circumstances:
Both of our credit scores are on top of 750
We will be putting down just slightly more than 10% down.
The money has been in our savings for a long time so not gifted so no worry there
We have absolutly no credit card debt
Our only bills are: Car insurance, Cell phone & health insurance (Our cars have both been paid off)
What is the best way to go for us?What will save us the most amount monthly? Can you site some examples to give us an idea and relapse of monthly charges?
