We are starting a small business and we need to hire 100-300 tutors as independent contractors. Our clients will book tutors online for online tutoring sessions and at-home tutoring sessions. What type of insurance do I need to buy? How much? Thanks so much in advance!
The roof collapsed in our son’s bedroom (luckily he was not in it!!). Almost the entire contents of his bedroom was destroyed by the collapse and also from getting soaked from the rain. We itemized all the items that were in his room (furniture, toys, clothing etc…) How will the insurance company determine how much we will receive to re do his bedroom. (not the structure….that is a different issue). There was only 1 small bag of things that we were means to salvage. thanks!
megan kintheartI’m from Phoenix, Arizona and am currently working on my B.S. in Biology here in Baltimore, MD. I do not want to shift my license to MD. My reason for not wanting to shift my License is for entrance to Medical School at the University of Arizona. You are required to hold a state drivers license for 3 years+ to even apply to their medical program. So, if I were to shift my license to the state of MD, I would have to rule out that option.
With that being said, I’m curious if it would be possible for me to register a car in Arizona with my Arizona Insurance, and obtain Arizona plates without having to drive across country?
If not, am I capable of registering the car in Maryland with my Arizona license and obtaining Maryland insurance?
Seems like there are three components to this equation.
Arizona License (Must Keep)
Plates (Either MD or AZ)
Arizona Insurance (Either MD or AZ)
Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised.
All but $ 10 of his medications are paid for by his employer’s medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance – now Joe gets it too.
He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.
In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his physique and how much it contained.
Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air.
He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.
Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union.
If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn’t think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.
It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.
Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university.
Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads.
He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers’ Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans.
The house didn’t have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification.
He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to.
Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn’t mention that the beloved Republicans have fought opposite every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: “We don’t need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I’m a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have.”
We are trying to buy a new Mobile Home which will be converted to real property. We are working with a very well known bank institution and have been approved for a construction loan. They are telling me that Builders Risk Insurance needs to be purchased before they can give us a final approval on the loan. I called the local insurance companies and they insist they do not cover it for Mobile Homes. I brought this to the banks attention over a month ago, yet they are still telling me I need to get Builders Risk Insurance. What do I do? Supposably the mobile home builders don’t cover the Builders Risk Insurance or the contractor, so it’s up to me. How does this usually work? Is the buyer usually the one responsible for this?
Well we call them mobile homes here, but it is a Manufactured home.
The flames are still burning and developers are saying that if they have to subdivide and build in a responsible manner it will hurt their profits and ruin the economy.
Are we willing to pay higher insurance rates, higher taxes to keep making them wealthier?
My buddy and I are both seventeen and we think we could afford a cheap-ish 2 bedroom apartment together. We both work part time after school and some weekends. I make 918 every month and he makes 660 every month, both after taxes. I have car insurance and gas to pay for which is usually about 250 on a very cheap month without a lot of driving.
We don’t need cable, but we both agree that Netflix is an comprehensive necessity. We already have TVs, utensils, dishes and all the other kitchen shiz you need. If we pay about $ 750 rent including utilities split 2 ways do you think we could do it?
Remember that we wouldn’t be moving into an empty house, we would make sure we have pretty much all the crap we need like beds, tables, chairs, dressers and all that furniture before we move in.
Him and i each have terrible, shity home lives, this is our last year of exams and school and idk if i can put up with the alcohol, violence and the disgusting mess at my house for another exam period. It makes it impossible to study.
Thanks.
I honestly believe they have a great possibility of losing. I won’t deny it. Many democrats will NOT be voting for democrats.
However…is it sensible to predict that many [but not all] conservatives, especially on the far right, are endangering their own party?
I’d like to make it clear I don’t perceive this to be the ENTIRETY of the Tea Party ideal.
But signs like this are overwhelmingly popular at the tea parties, and the outcry opposite signs like these, by the tea party leaders, has been weak or nonexistent.
Birtherism – “President Obama is not an American citizen.”
Christian opposition – “President Obama is the AntiChrist.”

30 Republicans vote opposite Al Franken’s “Anti-Rape” Bill.
The AR Bill came in response to a female employee of Haliburton, who, on the job, was gang-raped, then locked in a storage unit for three days. She had signed paperwork, which, in the fine print, explained that she would not be supplied with an attorney under any circumstances by the company [incident took place overseas by non-American rapists, thus a trial could not exactly be held in America on the case], She told her supervisors of the incident…they did nothing.
Franken responds to this incident by proposing a measure to PREVENT such companies from barring an employee’s right to a court-oriented response to their own victimization, or if not, then to shut them down completely, should such risks be imposed on women and other potential victims.
Later, Republicans successfully catered in the end of ACORN, an organization that helped persuade impoverished voters to vote, and other such causes in favor of the poor/middle class. The voting fraud incident of ACORN happened as a result of several people making a joke of the voting process, and at their own volition, filling out fake voting cards.
Many conservative politicians are opposed to the building of the mosque, yet they voted opposite extra health insurance benefits for 9/11 responders.
Michele Bachmann claims that Census workers are dangerous, comparing any risk to their visits to the “rounding up” of Japanese Americans, into detention camps, during WW!!.
Rush Limbaugh makes negative, racially-motivated statements on a regular basis. Also some very ludicrous Nazi-related statements that would make even the most intelligent of republicans, who still insist there is socialism in the government, die with laughter.
Glen Beck accuses the President of “racism,” and a “deep seated hatred of white people and the white culture,” while, in between statements, claims he DOESN’T feel that Obama is a racist, yet cannot explain his definition of the “white culture” in an interview, and accuses Katie Couric of setting traps.
Beck also screamed “get off my phone, you little pinhead,” at the top of his lungs, to a caller who challenged his many assertions that Health Care Reform is a socialist/communist/fascist/Marxist plot opposite the American people.
Opposition to Health Care Reform as a whole, including such rumors of “death panels,” “pulling the plug on Grandma,” and other still unproven claims, while none of these opponents dared to question Medicare.
Rand Paul criticizes the Civil Rights Act, claiming that American business owners should be allowed to choose who they serve.
I’m not sure he weighed in on the fact that if a restaurant owner decides that he or she does not want to serve blacks or Jews, and is allowed to act on those feelings, what is to stop that from the racist public transit system owners from wanting the same right, or the school administrations, or the automechanics, or the post offices, or just about ANY public service that is currently required by law to serve all of us without special preference?

And the list is MUCH longer, but these are just a few of my favorites.
Has anyone taken notice of this?
Am I the only one who will NOT be voting Republican come November, or…ever?
