I’ve got one (mum’s from Ireland, that’s why), and I am about to buy a house and rent it out, and I have some other assets, but I like working remotely, independently, i.e., freelance translating, writing, editing, fact-checking and teaching online, but here in America, it’s hard getting good, affordable insurance with a pre-existing condition and a wife who also has a pre-existing condition. Would you do it, I mean, say, live in Malta or Spain or France or Denmark and work remotely and get your health insurance through the national plan? It sounds like an option. In America, I am only finding traditional office jobs that offer medical benefits. Would be nice to be means to set my own hours and not worry about benefits. I want to work, and work hard, but not the traditional office grind that my friends have. Besides, I also enjoy having long European vacations and not the two-week raw deal that so many Americans get.
satelec 2003 americans allowed to live in franceHere’s the situation i would like to get some feedback if possible.
When i was nineteen i live with my parents and i went to college full time and had a part time job. During this time our house burnt down. Whe we received the insurance money they gave me what they thought was a fair amount and i had no idea what they really recieved for my content because there is depreciation and other things to account for after you submit your list. About 1 year later i found the documents to the relapse of the insurance and it turns out that they kept about $ 12,000 of my content money and were not ever going to tell me about it. When i confronted them about this they said i was gready for wanting the money and that i was given plenty of money, but i still have over $ 15,000 in student loans to pay back and this would be a good start in paying them back but they are saying that because i did not pay on the insurance policy and that they paid for most of the things that they gave me that it was really their money and that i did not deserve the money they received for my content in my own room.
I don’t have the means to fix the house. I would like to know the value of the property without the house. I live in Fresno, ca
Landlord informed me there would be a gentlemen over to take pictures of my home for insurance purposes only. a week went buy and i received a text message from him saying there will be people over to look at the house. i asked what for and he than told me he was selling the house. He had a realator put a sign in my yard. and i got a message from my aunt and she said i like what you did to your bedroom. im completely baffeled at this point. I asked her what she was talking about and she replied oh theres pictures of the inside of your home online. which all my personal belongings exspensive stuff all published online now for everyone to see. i am scared now in my own home of fear of someone violation in. what are my rights as a tenant of haveing my privacy invaded like that. and not being properly informed what the pictures were going to be used for. not to mention i have little children also. thank you any advice would be great. I live in Cleveland OHIO
I WAS NOT INFORMED WHAT THE PICTURES WERE BEING USED FOR. I WAS LIED TOO AND I WORKED HARD FOR THE THINGS I HAVE. I CHOOSE NOT TO OWN BECAUSE OF TOO MANY HEADACHES. I ASKED A QUESTION DONT NEED A SMART COMMENT. I ALREADY TALKED TO AN ATTORNEY AND ITS INVASION OF PROPERTY. HE DID NOT TELL ME THAT MY BELONGINGS WOULD BE POSTED FOR EVERY ONE TO SEE AND I DO HAVE RIGHTS AS A TENANT. SO PLEASE KEEPS YOUR SMART COMMENTS TO YOURSELF
The attorney contacted me after i posted this wasn’t expecting a fast response. I was not informed the house was for sale until a week after the pictures were taken. If he wasn’t violation the law than why lie about what the pictures were for. I completely understand hes selling the house. I feel hes up to something else, if he has to lie about things. i refuse to let strangers in my home where my children sleep. i will let him evict me first before i let that happen. I am obligated to protect my children and my home and i will do so. if he would of been honest from the beginning i would of put my things up away from public view.
I currently have State Farm for my auto and homeowners insurance but I’m trying to get a lower payment. I have heard that SF is one of the more expensive companies… is this true?
Thanks!
If you can please list the website where you found this information. Thanks in advance!
to be a named driver do you have to leave at the same houseI am planning on buying a house in New Orleans, specifically in Lakeview, which was dramatically impacted by Katrina. I heard if the house wasn’t raised after being remodeled, its double the insurance. How much insurance are we talking about will be added to the mortgage? It’s estimated I am supposed to pay $ 1,000 per month on this one house… how much would that be with insurance ESTIMATED?
Here’s what happened: We’re renting a home. Saturday at some point in the early morning, one of the kids, got up, used the bathroom, flushed the toilet and went back to bed. Around 9:15am I got up opened my bedroom door and stepped into a flooded hall way. Not just the hall, but it went into all of the four bedrooms and part of the laminate flooring in the family room. Which, is now buckling up. We can’t get a hold of the landlord, I’m thinking they are out of town, because they always get right back to us. Anyways, I’m just wondering if something like this is covered with a homeowners policy and if not, who is responsible? Is this considered an accident? We have renter’s insurance, but it only covers our personal belongings. I’m thinking all of the carpet will need replacing, we have already pulled it up and took out the pad, meanwhile our house smells like s**t! No poop overflowed, but the carpet just stinks!
They build megahouses in the hills, then whine when fires burn them down. Never mind the insurance companies who have to pay (or govt doles). Why don’t they build in the city?
Answer Fairy: A simple yes or no. Your profanity will get you reported.
We were looking to buy a home but noticed the amount of home for sale / is the flood insurance high /is there a high unemployment rate.
